Welcome to my website
Hello and welcome to my little plot of the internet. A digital garden of sorts, inspired by other, more talented, writers and thinkers than myself (see Links—>People for some examples).
My hope is that writing out in the open will compel me to write more completely and because I do my clearest thinking when I write. It’s my way of cleaning up the ol’ mind palace. Which, frankly, is more of a mind cabin — it clutters quickly.
A few things you’ll find on here:
- Essays — longer thoughts on ideas I find important or interesting. Some will be more polished than others.
- Links — bookmarks of the people and ideas I keep coming back to. Don’t be afraid to click the ‘Random Link’ button. It shouldn’t take you anywhere too risky.
- Projects — what I’m building right now, and what I’ve shipped (or shipwrecked).
- Books — what I’m reading and what I’ve put back on the shelf.
A ‘garden’, less a blog
To me, a blog is more chronological: newest at the top with some clear theme or direction. Cooking, travel, tech, autobiography etc.
A garden is a bit more idiosyncratic: notes and quotes and essays with little in common aside from their author.
So poke around. Open a random link. If something here makes a lot of sense to you, or doesn’t, and you want to talk about it feel free to send me a message.
